Play Poker What to do and when not to play Poker Tips
The final strong suit that I wish to talk about is how a great many ideas are presented in a very digestible manner. John presents a whole bunch of tips that are really helpful and should be looked at every time someone plays online.
Stuff like:
Count your Hands
Dont Just Jump In
Dont Be a Kid in a Candy Store
Write Notes to Yourself
Another great chapter features the 10 nevers that you should NEVER do when you play online. Things include:
Never Play Drunk
Never Play Tired
Never Show a Hand You Dont Have To
To remain fair, I try to find at least one small drawback to every product or book that I review. My only complaint about the book is this, it isnt long enough.
Vorhaus is obviously a winning online player and I know that he has more to share. I know he didnt give away ALL his secrets, he is holding out a little on us. One of the books great strengths is that the author indeed walks the talk. He has put his money on the line on a regular basis. I want to hear more, more stories, more tips, more of his ups and downs so as to make my online ups and downs feel more normal.
If you want a book on the subject of online poker that is frank, blunt and honest, then this is the book for you. He pulls no punches. I loved the concept that there is always a weaker fish and that the money of the little fish gets swallowed by the biggest fish that ends up dumping it all into the belly of a few gigantic fish.
John Vorhaus presents fresh info in a humorous way. If you are serious about learning the online game and growing into a larger fish, this book will do it for you.
I only wish that John had shared what name he chose to
play poker under. So when I wander into a pool where he is fishing, I will be smart enough to swim away.
